Blast Dampers

The Carnes Company now offers blast resistant dampers to protect buildings and structures against interior or exterior blasts. Typical blast damper applications include:

Oil fields and refineries
Factories
Military bases
Chemical, paint or hazardous material storage rooms
Government facilities
Nuclear power stations

Blast dampers are built and tested per AMCA standard 500-D. Carnes blast dampers are shock tube tested under specification ASTM F 1642-04 and GSA-TS01-2003. Blast dampers can be built in standard galvanized or carbon steel, as well as stainless steel. Many special options and features are also available.
